Kelvin K.

Kelvin is 18 years old and in class 9 in Kiamutugu Secondary School. His favourite subject is science. He enjoys playing football and reading. Kelvin has passed his high school entrance exam with good marks. Kelvin wants to be a pilot. Kelvin shows a real aptitude for using a computer and happily helps his siblings learn.

Pauline

Pauline is 17 years old and in class 10 in Mahiga Girls Secondary School. Her best subject is social studies.

Stephen

Stephen is 13 years old and in class 7 and does well in school. He is a confident and social boy who passed his interview for private school with flying colours. Stephen’s best subjects are science social studies and he aspires to be District Commissioner.

Madrine

Madrine is 14 years old and in class 7 at the Effort Junior School. Her favourite subject is science. She has strong leadership skills and while one of the youngest often leads the others. She likes to play hide and seek and loves to read and sing. Her best subjects are science and math. Madrine aspires to be a judge.

Violet

Violet is 15 years old. Her teacher says she is a very happy and social girl. She enjoyed introducing us to her class and showing us the beautiful handmade jewelry she is learning to make as part of her life skills class.

Pierina

Pierina is 15 years old and in class 6 at the Effort Junior School. Her best subject is science. Her teachers say she is good at getting her schoolwork done and she is very fond of elderly people.

Susan

Susan is 15 years old and in class 8 at Allsaints Kianyaga Academy. She likes to study Swahili and her favourite games are net ball and jump rope. She excels in social studies. Susan aspires to be a teacher.

Jackeline

Jackeline is 15 years old and in class 7 at the Raimu Primary School. She is blessed to have her sister Violet with her. She loves to skip in the yard and enjoys singing and entertaining guests with her siblings. She likes to cook and dreams of becoming a teacher.

Lucy

Lucy is 17 years old in class 9 Ngaru Girls High School. Her favourite subject is history and she likes to play hide and seek. Lucy has passed her high school entrance exam with good marks. Lucy would like to be a soldier after she gets a university education.

Jane

Jane is 13 years old and in class 6 at the Effort Junior School. Her favourite subject is Swahili. For fun she likes to play hide and seek and jump rope. Jane wants to be a doctor.

Linet

Linet is 16 years old and is in class 7 at the Effort Junior School. Her favourite subject is science and she likes to play basketball. When she grows up she wants to be doctor.

Lisper

Lisper is 15 years old in class 8 in St. Andrews Kabare Girls Primary School. Her best subject is science. She is keen to learn and try new things. In school she is learning English, Kiswahili, mathematics, science and social studies.

Kelvin M.

Kelvin is 16 years old and in class 8. His favourite subject is science and his favourite sport is football. When Kelvin grows up he would like to be a professional rally driver.

Purity

Purity is 18 years old and in Form 3 at the St. Triza Kutus Girls Seconday School. Her favourite subject is history and she likes the opportunity to play basketball. In her spare time she enjoys watching TV and reading. She has just passed her interview to be accepted into private school. She aspires to be a surgeon.
